Mira Timber Frame was established as a family business in 1998. We design traditional timber frame structures using old-world craftsmanship with new-world technology.
We are committed to quality detailed workmanship and responsible resources management in every project. We have the experience and expertise to bring your timber frame dreams to reality.
In addition to owners Trudy and Julian we have a design department that includes an engineer, architect and architectural technicians, a shop crew comprised of journeyperson & apprentice carpenters and in-house trained timber framers all managed by some amazing admin staff. Together we take your plans and physically turn them into the beautiful structures you see.
Timber framing is a method of building, which has been used for centuries. It involves the use of large structural timbers held together with elaborate wooden joinery without the use of nails. The timber frame is then enclosed in pre-manufactured SIP panels leaving the beauty of the exposed timbers on the interior.
Today, Mira Timber Frame is housed in a 16,000 sq ft facility located in Stony Plain, Alberta, Canada where we design, manufacture, and install timber frames that are sent to all parts of Western Canada, Northwest USA and Hawaii.
Our clients appreciate the traditional craftsmanship of natural timbers, high vaulted ceilings, large windows, open loft spaces and unique timber stair structures.
Mira Timber Frame has the experience and experts to make your timber frame dreams a reality.
We are the Mira Timber Frame team dedicated to bringing you the best.
